TRIAD is a community policing
initiative between seniors, law enforcement, and service providers. The Hatfield police department works in conjunction with the Hatfield Council on Aging to provide education and services tailored to the needs of the senior citizen communities. Police Chief Thomas Osley is the TRIAD officer for the Hatfield police department.
TRIAD works with a S.A.L.T. council (Seniors
And
Lawmen
Together).
These S.A.L.T. councils are made up of both senior citizens and
persons providing services to the aging. They are formed to serve
as advisors to law enforcement leaders in the community through
TRIAD.
This group will aid law enforcement departments
in determining the crime and public-safety-related needs and
concerns of the elderly and will suggest services to meet these
needs.
